Ralph has many original compositions arranged for tenor saxophone soloist and jazz ensemble which he has since performed with numerous college and high school jazz ensembles.
Ralph Bowen has studied under some of the greatest educators and performers in both jazz and classical arenas including Jim Blackley, Pat LaBarbera, Phil Nimmons, David Baker, Ted Dunbar, Kenny Barron, William Fielder, James Scott, Robert Dick, Bob Mintzer, and Eugene Rousseau. Having taught for over twenty years at the university level, Ralph has developed well-structured approaches to teaching saxophone, improvisation, jazz theory, and composition.
